The annual dinner was well attended. Many thanks to our guest speaker, Di Trewenack, who spoke about the history of the Great Ocean Road.

Thanks also to the organisers, especially Chris Morrissey.

Congratulations to our two new life members Mandy Mitchell-Taverner and Des Clarke. Mandy is responsible for the well-organised Angair library and Des was editor of the newsletter for many years. Both members have made a huge voluntary contribution to Angair.

Angair has formed a new subcommittee to actively promote the natural values of our environment. We feel this is the best way to protect the large areas of native vegetation surrounding Anglesea and Aireys Inlet. We hope also to add value for visitors to the region by promoting opportunities to enjoy bush outings and at the same time educate visitors and locals to care for these biodiverse assets.

We will be concentrating on using digital means to get our messages across, working with tourism, local government, community, business, and event organisers. The Surf Coast Council Economic Development and Tourism unit is very supportive of this initiative. Moving Angair into the digital era will require a whole new set of skills. If any members feel they can help us move down the digital road please contact Angair.
