Painkalac Dam and Ironbark Gorge (approximately 9km, 4 hours)
Meet at the Aireys Inlet Community Hall carpark at 9:30 am.
This is a medium difficulty circuit walk with some short steep uphill tracks, starting at the Distillery Creek Picnic Ground. We walk through heathy woodland to the dam, then turn north uphill through the forest and heathland to Bambra Rd enjoying lovely views of the headwaters of Painkalac Creek. After a short road walk, we bush bash a shortcut to the Ironbark Gorge track. On the way back we will explore Ironbark Gorge. Bring food, binoculars and wear study boots.
