We had a surprisingly fine, mild and sunny morning for our local birdwatching venue this month.
The well known location for "Birdos" on Coalmine Road, near the Anglesea Horse Riding Club's facility, is frequented by international visitors and locals alike.
22 different species were identified, the most notable a Grey Goshawk (white morph) being chased away by Little Ravens and Australian Magpies.
A select few of us watched a Crested Shrike-tit for a delightfully long time, after wallking in through a more secluded bushland area.

It was wonderful that ANGAIR members were willing to negotiate the result of recent wet weather conditions. Some bush-bashing was required as well as straddling over a couple of water courses.
The male and female Golden Whistler were identified, plus a pair of Blue winged parrots.

Cuckoo calls where amazingly prolific - calls from 3 different species were heard = Fantail, Shining Bronze and the Horsfield.
