Six enthusiastic birders had a glorious day at Clarkesdale Sanctuary on the October Bird Walk. David, who has managed the 535 hectares since 1985, was a wealth of knowledge during our morning walk.
We had beautiful weather, with crystal clear blue skies, and were greeted with bird calls that continued all morning. During the afternoon we walked around the Dam and the Education Centre.
Altogether, we identified 37 species at the Sanctuary and one more on the way home.
